Rebekka Rafnsdóttir (b. 1987) is an interdisciplinary artist and educator. She completed a B.A. in Creative Writing and Philosophy at the University of Iceland in 2010. She received an MFA in Creative Writing from The New School in New York in 2017 and completed a Filmmaking program, with a focus on experimental documentary, at the same institution in 2019, where she also pursued coursework in photography. In 2023, she completed a Project Management program.

Working across writing, film, photography, and other artistic media, Rebekka's practice is rooted in a multidisciplinary approach. Her work explores the intersections of art, philosophy, the natural world, and spirituality, with a particular interest in creativity within a larger existential context. She is drawn to the expressive language of nature and to the mystery of creation itself—how what comes into being emerges from a place beyond the created, where intuition, presence, and the unseen converge.

Rebekka has taught at Cottonwood New York and founded Cottonwood Reykjavík in 2021, creating spaces for creative exploration, artistic practice, and interdisciplinary learning.
